SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 32

Congratulating the Burch High School boys' basketball team for winning the Class A state championship.

Whereas, The Burch High School boys' basketball team finished their 1992-1993 season with a record of 24-3, which was climaxed by their championship 70-42 victory over Doddridge County High School; and
Whereas, This is the second straight state championship for the Burch High School boys' basketball team and their third championship in the last five years; and
Whereas, The Burch High School boys' basketball team is led by Mike Smith, head coach; and Bill Smith and Jim Chafin, assistant coaches; and
Whereas, The Burch High School boys' basketball team includes: Billy Erwin; J.B. Caudill; Trinity Crank; J.J. Maynard; Rick Preece; Wes Erwin; Charlie Justice; Ashley Sparks; Ernie Hinkle; Orvel Bailey; Daniel Mounts; Kim Davis and Shawne Marcum, statisticians; David Stratton, Chris Young and Rick Robinette, managers; Charlie Abraham, filming; and Steve Cook, bus driver; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate of the West Virginia Legislature herebycongratulates the Burch High School boys' basketball team for winning the Class A state championship; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the coaching staff, team members and the principal of Burch High School.
